Attorneys Salvaggio and Garibian understand that it is critical to obtain experienced legal representation from a New Jersey family law attorney who will aggressively protect your rights. To that end they have devoted their practice to assisting individuals and families with a broad range of family law needs including:

Divorce - The final, legal ending of a marriage, by Court order.

Divorce Mediation - A process of non-binding intervention between divorce parties to promote resolution of a grievance, reconciliation, settlement or compromise outside of the court system.

Separation Agreements - An agreement between spouses in the process of a divorce or legal separation concerning alimony, property division, child custody and support.

Child Support - A parent’s parents legal obligation to contribute to the economic maintenance and education of children. This obligation is enforceable both criminally and civilly.

Domestic Violence - Physical behavior or treatment forcefully and unjustly exercised with the intent to harm between family members

Paternity - Being a father. "Paternity suits" are launched when a man denies paternity of a child born out of wedlock. New technology of DNA testing can establish paternity thus obliging the father to provide child support.

Visitation- the right of a non-custodial parent to visit or spend time with his or her children

Custody - Means the charge and control of a child including the right to make all major decisions such as education, religious upbringing, training, health and welfare. Custody, without qualification usually refers to a combination of physical custody and legal custody.

Adoption - The area of law that deals with the relationship of parent to child of another person, usually a minor, by official legal action.

Post-Judgment Modifications - Issues that arise regarding the proper division or distribution of undivided assets or debts, custody, visitation or modification or termination of support after a judgment of dissolution has been entered by the court.

Prenuptial Agreements - A prenuptial agreement, or a premarital agreement, is a written contract created by two individuals who plan to be married. This agreement lists all individually owned property, such as homes and businesses, family assets, stocks and bonds, savings accounts as well as debts, and specifies what will and will not remain individually owned property after the legalization of marriage. Prenuptial agreements also specify whether spousal support will be paid in the event of a divorce, and the intentions regarding distribution of individually owned property upon death.

Domestic Partnerships - Domestic Partners are two people, both of whom are eighteen years of age or older; neither of whom is married who have a relationship of mutual support, caring, and commitment; and are each other's sole domestic partner. This includes a diversity of family configurations, including lesbian, gay and unmarried heterosexual couples (and their children), and unmarried elderly partners.

Legal Separations - An arrangement whereby a married couple lives apart from each other while remaining married, either by mutual consent or judicial decree.
